A Wichita Falls flight school will be training students from around the world thanks to a new accreditation.
Cobra Kai Flight Academy operates out of Kickapoo Airport. The flight school opened in January of 2014. They’re now a professional flight school thanks to a new accreditation from the FAA.
Instructors say that means students will save time and money.
Martin Bohn of Cobra Kai explained, “If somebody tries to become a professional aviator, he would usually need 250 hours of flight instruction time in the air. We can now do this with 190 hours. What that means to them is they usually same themselves $12,000 to $14,000 just in costs for the license if they train with us.”
With the new accreditation, Cobra Kai can recruit students from around the world and apply for visas for those students.
